Albert Brown

Mr. Brown is the Principal Investigator for a research project to evaluate best operational practices for public drinking water systems. Mr. Brown is involved in several other environmental and emergency management research projects including soil bioremediation and developing new national training classes for emergency management professionals.
Mr. Brown is the Director of Environmental Research Initiatives at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus and a faculty member with the Environmental Technology Management program. He is a former Director for the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department. He also formerly worked for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Department of Health Services. Mr. Brown has a B.S. degree in Zoology from ASU and a Master of Public Administration degree also from ASU. Mr. Brown has 32 years of professional experience, including air quality, water quality, wastewater management, hazardous waste management, environmental remediation, solid waste management, food protection, vector control, public administration and public health practice. He teaches Environmental Management and Environmental Leadership courses, provides guest lectures on air quality, toxicology, environmental health and emergency management. Mr. Brown also teaches air quality certification classes to practicing air quality professionals.
