Can I just take one course?

Yes. Anyone can take courses at ASU. You can apply online at http://www.asu.edu/ugapp. Apply as a non-degree seeking student.

Can I take courses without applying for a degree?

Yes, but you can only use up to 15 semester hours if you decide to apply for an undergraduate degree program later. Graduate students may only use up to nine semester hours.
