This laboratory supports classes such as MET 231 Manufacturing Process, which is required for all students pursuing the B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

While in the MET 231 laboratory, students make several multi-part projects as a way to practice the theory taught in the lecture, and they use virtually all processes represented in the laboratory.

The laboratory also supports MET 345 Advanced Manufacturing Processes, when students do materials machinability testing. Also, students in MET 444 Tooling and Fixtures make their projects in this lab.

In addition to the classes listed above, students in other project classes use this laboratory extensively.
