About Engineering Technology

Students pursuing degrees in the Department of Engineering Technology learn to apply scientific and engineering principles to mechanical, manufacturing and electronics problems to create all of the things we use in our daily lives… from garden tools to iPods to jet engines to solar panels.

Our undergraduate and graduate programs combine theory and engineering practice with active learning in state-of-the-art laboratories, a key part of our educational process. These well-equipped laboratories at ASU’s Polytechnic campus help to make the programs’ engineering content “real” for students.
