Steps to Successful Degree Completion
- Develop plans for achieving your academic, career and personal goals.
- Learn the requirements for your degree. Read the relevant portions of the ASU Catalog.
- Become familiar with the University and College policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Check My ASU on a regular basis to view your status and track your courses, grades and financial aid.
- Be prepared when you seek advisement:
- Have questions ready - know why you are there
- Bring an updated DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report
- Bring pencil and paper and any other relevant materials
- Become familiar with and utilize the full range of campus and university resources.
- Satisfy all requirements for your degree.
- Keep an updated curriculum check sheet, major map or DARS report for your major and catalog year.
- Seek information and assistance from appropriate sources as needed.
- Be aware that your financial aid may depend upon your academic progress.
- File a Declaration of Graduation no later than the semester in which you earn your 87th semester hour.
